The Jugendweihe Thüringen e.V., founded in 1990, brings together associations that, according to their statutes, provide young people with help, guidance, and support in shaping their lives. The aim is to facilitate integration into society and to help young adults lead confident and meaningful lives.

As a non-partisan and non-denominational association, it guarantees freedom of belief and conscience, tolerance, and acceptance of a wide range of worldviews.

Since March 7th, 2011 the Jugendweihe Thüringen e.V. has been a recognized provider of free youth welfare.

The Jugendweihe Thüringen e.V. is a member of the federal association Jugendweihe Deutschland e.V.

Our offers

The Jugendweihe Thüringen e.V. and its member associations have made it their mission to preserve the secular traditions of youth initiation and name-giving ceremonies.

An important part of these traditions is to accompany young people on their path to adulthood. To achieve this, we and our members engage in open youth work and youth association activities, which involve enriching conversations, encounters, events, excursions, and youth trips.

Associated members

Jugendweihe Thüringen e.V. is an association federation. The association provides its members with nationwide public relations and lobbying efforts. At the same time, it offers a platform for joint activities and cooperation among its members. Exchange of experiences, workshops, and seminars are part of this, as well as various projects in the field of open youth work. Common content and areas of activity form the basis for these endeavors.
